                   Atuo na produção artística desde 1973 e meu trabalho transita do desenho ao tridimensional utilizando diversos materiais entre eles lâminas de acrílico, tubos metálicos tubos de vidro e madeira. 

               Durante a década de 80 me dediquei ao desenho e à pintura. Paralelamente busquei novos materiais e meios como o audiovisual COR-LUZ.

               Na década seguinte o desenho, especialmente através da linha, me conduziu escultura em tubos de cobre, expondo-a diretamente sobre o chão. 

               Em 1993 obtive o diploma de Bacharel em artes plásticas com ênfase em pintura pelo Instituto de Artes da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul no Brasil.

               No ano de 2001 concluí o mestrado em Poéticas Visuais pelo Programa de pós-Graduação em Artes Visuais do Instituto de Artes da mesma universidade. No período me detive na estreita articulaçāo entre o fazer da obra e simultaneamente do espaço expositivo que a acolhe. Durante o estudo cheguei à noção de IN SITU como ponto de partida para situar a obra em afinado diálogo/conflito com o espaço que a recebe. Noções como conexão, continuidade e as múltiplas aparições da linha são os principais “motores” da obra Zigzag, surgida deste período de estudos. 

               Atualmente minha produção e pesquisa estão voltadas para questões como transparência, reflexo e suas manifestações tanto em obras sobre papel quanto em lâminas de acrílico ou tubos metálicos. 

 

              I have been working in artistic production since 1973 and my work moves from drawing to three-dimensional using different materials, including acrylic sheets, metal tubes, glass tubes and wood.

              During the 80's I dedicated myself to drawing and painting. At the same time, I looked for new materials and media such as the audiovisual COR-LUZ.

              In the following decade, drawing, especially through line, led me to sculpture in copper tubes, exposing it directly on the floor.

              In 1993 I obtained a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts with an emphasis on Painting from the Institute of Arts of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil.

              In 2001, I completed my master's degree in Visual Poetics at the Graduate Program in Visual Arts at the Institute of Arts at the same university. During this period, I focused on the close articulation between the making of the work and simultaneously the exhibition space that hosts it. In this study I came to the notion of IN SITU as a starting point to place the work in a refined dialogue/conflict with the space that receives it. Notions such as connection, continuity and the multiple appearances of the line are the main “engines” of the Zigzag work, which emerged from this period of studies. Currently my production and research are focused on issues such as transparency, reflection and their manifestations both in works on paper and in acrylic sheets or metallic tubes.
